In this compelling documentary, I follow the journey of Jin Yong, a middle-aged man whose life starkly contrasts with his famous namesake, the renowned martial arts novelist.
After losing his job, Jin Yong struggles to find stability in a rapidly changing world. Despite his efforts in various fields—journalism, real estate, and education—he faces continual setbacks due to shifting policies and economic upheaval. With traditional employment opportunities exhausted, Jin Yong turns to gig work, delivering food, working as a courier, and taking shifts in an electronics factory.
This film captures the essence of resilience and the unpredictable nature of life, focusing on the powerlessness and confusion experienced by ordinary people in an era of constant change. It sheds light on the marginalized communities often overlooked by society, portraying a man determined to navigate the tumultuous waves of fate.
